The model comes with an ice maker that produces fresh, filtered ice automatically. It's simple to use as well. The dispensers for ice and water are located inside the refrigerator, not on the front. LG Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator
LG counter-depth refrigerators are slim and provide plenty of space. They're also priced lower than standard-depth French door fridges and can eliminate the need for a separate smaller under-counter freezer. LG Smart Mirror InstaView counter-depth refrigerator (LMWC23626S) isn't an exception with the capacity of a standard fridge in an elegant, modern design, with an integrated dispenser that makes it easy to access the water filter.
This model's exterior showcases a fingerprint-resistant stainless steel finish and a mirrored InstaView panel that adds to the modern look of the interior. The door bins are spacious and the top shelf can be folded down to create a half-depth shelves that allow higher-height items to fit. A set of crisper drawers are at the bottom of the refrigerator, and the full-width deli drawer can be used for meat or produce.
A recessed ice maker is located on the back wall of the refrigerator. This helps to save space and allows you to store an additional bag of ice. The refrigerator uses a door-cooling system that utilizes vents in the fridge and freezer doors to let cold air enter the refrigerator. It helps to prevent hot spots and keeps temperatures consistent throughout the fridge.
This LG refrigerator was a standout during our tests. It has plenty of space to feed a family, but we did notice a few irritating quirks. First the freezer drawers do not stay as cold as we would like. The temperature of the middle drawer climbed to 41° during our highest use test, which is the temperature needed to freeze ice cream or other frozen food items. The temperature in the rest of your freezer remained at around 36 degrees.
Another issue is that refrigerator doors have sunken handles on the inside and beneath which makes it difficult for those who are smaller to move them closed. It might seem like a minor thing, but we prefer front-mounted handles on refrigerators, as they are more convenient to open and close.
The fridge is pricey, but it's worth it for anyone who wants an ultra-modern look for their kitchen. We recommend this fridge to those who want to upgrade their fridge or are building a new house and want to have a seamless style for their kitchen.

The RF23M8090SG is Samsung's latest and most elegant counter-depth French door refrigerator that retails at $4,200. It's a good-looking model that boasts useful features like an autofill water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It also does well in our cooling tests, although we're not a fan of its plastic handles and the crisper bins are a bit flimsy.
Bespoke is an option that makes the RF23M8090SG stand out. It lets you personalize your refrigerator with removable colored panels. There are 11 color options including soft pastels, brighter hues and four metallic finishes. Some of these panels can be customized with text or photos, making the fridge a personal touch point that can match your tie-dye Crocs, Rick Owens dress or Andy Warhol banana neon sign.
The LED lighting can be switched to a different color which is a great feature. The interior of the fridge is finished in a way that helps reduce smudges and makes cleaning much easier. The only real drawbacks of the RF23M8090SG are its cramped beverage center, and a little learning curve to open the door-indoor feature which houses a water dispenser as well as an ice maker. You have to feel for an opening on the side of the door that is halfway across, and once you've done that, it opens a second door within the fridge, which houses the docking station for the pitcher as well as the water dispenser, and two shelves for drinks.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator
French door refrigerators are an excellent addition to any kitchen. They look neat and work well in all sizes of rooms. If you want the convenience of this design without the extra height, a counter-depth fridge is the best choice. We've tested a lot of them, and this particular Frigidaire model has earned a high score in our ratings due to its affordable price and thoughtful features such as an adjustable temperature drawer.
It also has some irritating issues. Our test data shows the FGHB2866PF can heat up quite significantly in the freezer and become uncomfortable hot in the hottest shelves of the fridge. Our heat maps show how the temperature changes minute by minute. The butter bin in the orange area on the right is extremely warm during our testing period. This might not appear to be a problem at first however, the fridge is spending most of the time above 32 degrees.
It's also worth noting that the FGHB2866PF isn't an Energy Star-certified model, which could be a factor for some buyers. But the real problem here is that it's just not a particularly great fridge, and the lack of modern features and durable construction makes it difficult to recommend it over better models at this price point.
In many ways, the Frigidaire looks and feels like the stainless steel version of a fridge you might see on display at your local appliances store. It's a good choice with a brushed-finish that looks nice and is resistant against streaks. However it's not able to differentiate itself from competitors who are more feature rich and cost less.
However, if you're looking for a cheap counter-depth French door fridge and don't have the budget to spend a lot on our top choices, then the FGHC2331PF is worth a look. It offers enough storage for most families, and it is able to keep food fresh. Even if it's not an energy-efficient model, it doesn't even come close to costing the same amount as our top-rated models do.
